Tenant Screening/Application process

How can I ask an applicant to explain late payments on their credit report or incidents on their criminal check?

where do you go for a good criminal report. Many I have paid for gives me nothing
Yes if they authorized a tenant screening then you may inquire about the results. You can also decline the applicant based on what you hear or do not hear. As for the criminal check that is usually pulled from a public data base and should have numbers to request a full report or at least an incident report.
