boyfriend evicting ex girlfriend from his home

My home is located in NY state and I'm trying to evict my ex-girlfriend from my home that won't leave on her own accord. How can I get this accomplished?

Is there a lease? Do you own the home? Often, this can be handled by calling the authorities. If there is a lease or an implication of a lease (monthly payments of rent, utilities in her name) , then you will have to go through the proper eviction procedures.Unmarried couples have similar rights to property as their married counterparts. So, whomever the property belongs to in deed/ownership is the same whether a couple decides to cohabitate or not.
