Security Deposit

What can I charge for repairs made by husband. For instance he cleaning up the back yard when they left it covered in about a 12 foot pile of trash. He also removed the carpets that they damaged, cleaning up property (trash) that they left. I read that you should be fine as long as you charge a reasonable hourly rate. How do I know what that is?
