Moved Out / utlilties

I have tenants that moved out early and turned off all the utilities. - NO WATER TO CLEAN. They left the house before the 30days, but I needed to hire someone to come in and clean.  - I physically can't.  I had to turn on the water, in my name, for a week so repairs and cleaning could be completed correctly. Can I deduct part or all the water utilities for that week? Water was need to clean,  fix broken faucet and broken inner toilet workings that they tried to repair themselves, and didn't do right.

You can do whatever makes you happy. Does that mean it's right? Technically, if tenants do not occupy property, water bill is your responsibility. Consider yourself lucky that the tenants turned the water off. Imagine the possible water damage that could have happened if left on. ----- Disclaimer: Since I’ve been answering a lot of questions, I thought I would make the following statement.
