My question is whether a husband and wife contemplating divorce may enter into a temporary lease agreement causing the party that will be leaving the premises to pay agreed upon amount until vacating said premises?

I’m assuming you’re on a long term lease. Both of you need to speak with your landlord together, explain the situation and see what he’s willing to do.
