Move-out & Eviction

We served our tenant with a 30 day notice to move that ends in the middle of the month. My husband gave him verbal approval to stay until the end of the month. Do I need to or should I put this in writing? Are 15 day extensions acceptable or are notices only in increments of 30 days? Thank you!

Some of the other roommates are moving and we thought it was a good time to look for new tenants.

Put the extension in writing, use the date that the verbal was agreed to, and make sure he signs & dates the change. . -----Disclaimer: Since I’ve been answering a lot of questions, I thought I would make the following statement. I’m not affiliated with EZlandlord Forms. I’m just here (not sure how long) to help those that have questions.
