30 Day Notice

I currently have 2 tenants, both of whom I want to evict.  I have had nothing but problems since they moved in, about the same time.  I have tried addressing these problems, but it is just this ongoing abyss.  One tenant is on a month-to-month lease, the other has not signed anything.  Is there any reason why I can't give them a 30-day notice without cause?
