overdue electric bill

I have a tenant who never changed over the electric into her name which she has said she would do. It is in my name & I have been paying it and charging her. Now she is late paying her rent & owing me for her electric. Do I have the right to have her electric turned off. If she had put it into her name & owed the electric company they would shut it off. I have started the eviction process on her.

No you never have the right to turn off the utilities in PA. This is something that you would need to pay and then try to get paid back through small claims court. Keep all receipts of payment to the utility company and any other proof that you have that you and the tenant agreed to these terms that you would charge her and keep the bill in your name.
