Can a tenant be evicted for refusing to sign a new lease when the current one is expired, in Texas?

Yes however if they do not sign a new lease it will most likely renew as a month to month. Therefore you must give a 30 day notice to vacate with the date they must be out of the property. After they fail to be out by the date set, you must fully file for eviction.
