Pre move out inspection

Tenants gave notice on March 14. I mailed a request for a pre-move out inspection on March 24. I asked for them to respond by March 31. I am leaving town on April 6. If the tenants contact me on April 5, am I required to accommodate their request?  Thank you!  Danielle  Central Valley California

By law both parties do not need to be there but if there are damages or fixes that will be deducted you will want to send that notice asap and within the time that your state requires.
