How does the Hurricane /flood affect the lease North Carolina? How much time does owner have to do repairs? If tenant calls 3 days after storm and says they are breaking the lease and then boyfriend calls day after saying they sighned a lease for a new house, but they weren't breaking lease..yet they moved out and shut utiilities off

If the house is not livable, I believe the lease ends. I would definitely contact an attorney to be sure.
