Are there any laws or procedures that should be followed when a tenant move out of the rental property? Should the tenant be present?

I would look up your government website. It all depends on the situation. If you and your tenant have signed a non renewal and your tenant has moved out with no issues, then you are all set. Just be sure to keep a hold of your paperwork on that tenant filed away somewhere, just in case. I always look up the state and city websites under landlord and find a lot of my answers. Good luck.
