Use of security deposit for unpaid rent

Hello,  Approximately two months before the end of a 12-month lease I notified my tenants that I would not be renewing the lease and wouldn't offer month to month tenancy because i decided to sell the house. They moved out 26 days before the end of the lease and only paid pro-rated rent for the first five days of the last month ($405 of $2,450 monthly rent). Am I entitled to keep a portion of the security deposit to cover the last 26 days of the lease?  Thanks

that is not okay!!! They are responsible for the rent until the end of the term. I would definitely read your lease, and also call an attorney.
