Left early without paying last month

Tenant stated they were vacating one month early. Informed them to re-read a portion of lease regarding consequences if this happens without paying last months rent. Tenants still vacated.. How often is small claims able to enforce the payment? Can wages be garnished? Illinois concern Darrin

my lease says I can apply the security deposit to the unpaid rents.
