Security deposit

I have a tenant that is moving out before the end of the lease.  The tenant had the lease with the previous owner and paid security to previous owner.  I, the current owner, received only 1100 from previous owner as the security deposit and the tenant is stating that she paid 2000.  I'm not sure what to do at this point.
