Lockout date cancelled due to tenant filling BK the day before

The lockout day was scheduled for today at 8am and we get a call yesterday from attorney's office saying it was cancelled because he just filled for chapter 7 Bk 2 days prior. We sent him eviction letters in June. This has been such a long process and now this. How much slack will this guy get? Seems like the laws protect only the people who refuse to pay the rent on time or complete and have no regard for hard working people who have to pay the mortgage. I think if the date was set to do a lock out and he works and has not paid rent in 4 months he had plenty of time to find a place.
