Prorating Rent

I have a tenant who just gave her 30 day notice and she will be leaving December 10. Since December has 31 days, do I have to prorate the rent by 31 days--or is it always 30 days regardless of the month. Is there a standard or a law determining this. My property is in Oregon. Thanks!
