The tenant gave a twenty-one-day notice versus a thirty-day notice, Is she liable for whole month's rent or just nine day's?

addendum: it would depend on the laws of NC and the type of lease that you had. If you had a yearly lease then a 30 day notice would apply or if your lease implies that a 30 day notice is necessary to terminate. If so, the entire month would need to be paid
