Hi folks- I live in Illinois in unincorporated Kane County. I rent a couple rooms in my house.. My question is CAN I enter those rooms without the renter's consent? From what I've read online because it's MY home and I LIVE there too, I can. Just wondering if anyone has any experience. These would be month to month renters. Thanks!

I think you are right, if you are living in the home with the tenant you would treat it as you would when living with anyone. You would knock on the door. I do not think you could go in without the tenant being there. I am not sure about the exact rules. IF you are not living with the tenant you cannot enter without written permission.
