Room rental Tenant is careless with my dog safety

Can I add amendment to lease to require minimal effort to keep landlords dog in yard where tenant also parks. Tenant repeatly lets dog out onto busy street. I request the tenant stop just outside of gate to make sure dog hasn't followed his car out. This is enough to keep dog safe. Tenant will not comply with thus request. There is a large sign on gate to remind him. How can I handle non dog loving tenant

Hello, You CANNOT FORCE a tenant to comply with any request not stated in the lease terms or existing laws. Option 1 - Tell the tenant that if he continues, then the lease will not be renewed or issue 45 day notice if MTM. Option 2 - Renew the lease without the parking spot. Matt
