Recently, a mutual friend of a long term tenant, shared the lies that were being spread by my tenant about my husband and I. Basically she has shared that we are in "dire financial straits" and cant afford to pay our property tax.
Nothing could be further from the truth. In addition, she said that she is building "a case" against regarding some flooding in her basement. We have never received a peep from her regarding a need for a repair. The hot water tank did leak in the basement and we replaced the tank within the same day.
I have no idea what kind of case she is building and to whom she is planning to contact but it's nonsense. This tenant has a big online presence with lots of friends. I happen to be one of those "friends." My husband has been hiring her husband to do so many handyman/construction jobs that they have become reliant on our projects for them to stay financially afloat. My husband doesnt want to use him anymore so the work has dried up and now these rumors.
