retaining a tenant

bought 2 family house which owner occupied first floor,didn't screen tenant-no credit history, work, social security information, now tenant is very bossy, won't answer my calls or return it but prefer to text me with demands and condition on when to pay rent and water bill (violating lease agreement shortly after lease, still have 8-9 months before lease ends .What do I do? very annoying to the landlord and the other tenant.

Evict that tenant! Any violation of the lease is good enough cause. You may even have some wiggle room and can evict based on the fact that you bought the property during a tenancy!

I agree with Richard, you should evict that tenant or take any serious step to get rid of him.
