Hello, with the economy being the way it is, the lease purchase, rent to own and lease with purchase option is becoming more and more popular. Unfortunately, not too many states have specific regulations. But many are starting to look at this and create perimeters. Two of them include Florida and Texas. The largest complaint is any monies paid "towards the purchase". I would definitely consult with an attorney to make sure that the arrangement you come up with is balanced. It is worth the small investment - some attorneys will prvide a free first consult, to make sure your bases are covered.
