how can I make changes if I made an error on the lease

Has your tenant already signed the lease? If so you may need to send them a letter saying that there was an error along with the correction. I recommend getting a signature on anything that you change and if they do not agree try to come to some understanding or middle ground. If it is the beginning of the lease most people will understand if you approach it politely.
