Need of reason for Non-renewal of lease in New York state

If there were a tenant where we did not want to renew the lease, provided we give the proper notice, do we have to provide a reason for non-renewal? we are located in New York State (not city)

No you do not need a reason for the non- renewal of a lease just the proper notice.
