How long should I keep, applications not accepted and their credit and criminal checks? How long should I keep records of previous tenants in and out of good standings? Any other records to keep? Dave

I always keep records for at least 7 years. even though Some say to keep them for 10. I have a binder for each year that passes labeled. I put everything for the year in a binder separated by property and the binder represents the year. This way when it hits the 7 year mark I just shred it. Might be different but helps me keep it together.
