Merry Christmas! I was just cleaning out my files and came across the lease agreement I have for my tenants. I was thinking about raising the rent $50 but come to find out they have been paying $50 more then the lease agreements says. I'm not sure if we verbally agreed is why they from first month have been paying more. How should I remedy this? It's been 19 months Yikes! I honestly did not know this until just now. I have a couple ideas but wanted to ask a professional first.. Thank you Glenda

I would be an honorable landlord and give them a $50 a month break on their rent Or just let them have a free month or so to make up for the amount they have already paid. Sounds like really good tenants.
