section 8 renewal rental agreement

how long do I give an existing section 8 tenant to read and sign a renewal rental agreement? all that has changed is increase in rent and water usage to conserve water.

Send a copy of the rent increase to both the tenant and housing. I believe housing still determines the max amount that can be increased. 30 days notice is required but I would send notice out 45 days before lease terminates. If housing disagrees with your increase, it may take a few days longer to reach an agreement.
