Landlord ending lease due to unforeseen circumstances

Hello, Our Condo was flooded by the condo above. There is extensive damage. Our tenant does not have renters insurance. We have been paying for the tenant to stay in a hotel. The lease we used from this site did not say anything about us being able to end the lease due to unforeseen circumstances. Our attorney said we do not have to pay for the tenants housing. We have gone above and beyond to take care of our tenant. How can we end the lease, legally?

You should see if the insurance for the upstairs condo has will cover the hotel and/or the lost rent. Was renters insurance a requirement of the lease?
