Our Maine Smoking Policy Disclosure Form is EZ to customize and complies with Maine’s smoking policy disclosure requirements.

Maine Smoking Policy Disclosure Requirements

Maine Landlords are required to provide Tenants with a smoking policy at the start of the Lease term. The policy must specify where smoking is and is not allowed on the property.

Our Maine Smoking Policy Disclosure makes it easy for Landlords to create a smoking policy form by simply checking a box to indicate that:

  • Smoking is prohibited on the entire Property.
  • Smoking is allowed on the entire Property.
  • Smoking is allowed in limited areas on the Property. If this is the case, there is an option for Landlords to specify precisely where smoking is and isn’t allowed.

The disclosure also lets Tenants know that pursuant to Maine law, smoking is prohibited in all common areas, including hallways, laundry rooms, and recreational areas.

This form is intended to serve as an Addendum to the Lease Agreement and complies with all of Maine’s smoking policy disclosure requirements.
