Colorado Radon Disclosure Requirements


Colorado Revised Statute § 38-12-803 requires that Landlords, prior to entering into a Lease Agreement, provide Tenants with:

  1. Specific language about the risks associated with radon and the benefits that come from radon testing;
  2. Any knowledge the Landlord has about the presence of radon, radon testing, radon reports, or radon mitigation systems at the property; and
  3. A copy of the Department of Public Health and Environment’s most recent brochure about radon in real estate transactions.
