Utah Lease Requirements


Utah Law requires that Landlords with knowledge that a rental property has been contaminated from the use, storage, or manufacture of methamphetamine disclose this to Tenants when entering into a Lease Agreement.


Properties where meth has been used or manufactured can be contaminated with dangerous levels of toxic chemicals. Because of this, it’s important to disclose any known meth contamination and ensure the property has been decontaminated before new Tenants take possession.


When applicable, Landlords should use the Utah Methamphetamine Disclosure as an Addendum to their Utah Lease Agreement.
