Depreciation for rental

I had new windows and a patio door installed in rental condo. The cost was under $5000. Do I still have to depreciate or can I expense?

You can expense that as they are improvements to the house they are not claims against it as if it were an office or something to that effect. Your account will be able to tell you what the best course of action would be.
