Vinyl Floor damage

I have a townhouse that I live in for approx 20 years before converting it to a rental in 2009. The original vinyl Kitchen floor was damaged by a tenant who recently moved out... they thought it was OK to put a hot frying pan in the middle of the floor. This floor was in perfect condition when they moved in, but now must be replaced. In my opinion the floor was good for another 10 to 15 years... My question is... can I charge them a reasonable amount to put down a new floor... and what would be reasonable (it's about 100 sq sf). Thanks Tom
