renting

I rented a home from a man how I only meet the doughter, she was the one to show the house give me the keys and i paid her the first months and deposits rent. now she did give me a recipt for the 700 dollar. She never gave him the money and he put a paid lock om door and wont let me in and will not give me my money back ,\. what can i do?
