Different Rent Prices for Different Occupants

Seems hardly fair to me that the main occupant of rental unit charges me $550/month, other tenant only $400 & main occupant who is on lease(not myself or other person) is only left with utilities which cover no more than $400/month. Considering he has master bedroom/private bathroom,etc. We have not signed official lease/document (verbal agreement), but I feel I need to get something in writing securing my deposit,etc. Main occupant exaggerates utilities,etc. to seem to be spending equal money, however I am being duped!!
