Tenant Right to Charge Landlord for Movers

We just rented our home. Unfortunately, we were a day late in getting moved out. We offered the tenants a days worth of rent and paid for their hotel stay that night. They are trying to charge us for the movers they had to secure when they were unable to move themselves in. Is this their right?

Tracy, I am not sure what the legalities are regarding this. I have never experieced this type of situation since my rentals are vacated by tenants.
