Newly married tenant

Can anyone tell me if my tenant gets married and elects to stay living in my rental, is her new hubby equally rresponsible for her rent etc...  She is late this month with her rent.  Actually she paid akk but 320.00. Said she would pay the rest in a week.  Turns out that week she flew to vegas and tied the knot!  She has returned and she has been avoiding me.  She does not know that I know she is mow MRS. However now that she is married, if she neglects to pay up, can I send a bill to the MR?  I have a feeling he did not check her credit before tieing the knot.  He is a sucessfull business man in town and I can't image he would want her debt.  Please advise!   State of Wisconsin   LA

I'm sure he would love to have an eviction on HIS record.
Send her a Notice to Pay or Quit. If you decide to have her continue to live there, create an Addendum adding him to the lease and making him equally responsible. Don’t forget to have both sign/date. Make sure you do a check on him, which he should pay. If she doesn’t pay the rent, start eviction to include him. -----Disclaimer: Since I’ve been answering a lot of questions, I thought I would make the following statement.
