Is there a certain dollar amount limit on the raising of rents for current tenants, such as a tenant now pays $500/mth for rent and I would like to increase this amt.- can I use a $ amt. or % amt (& is there a limit?)? Please?!?

I believe there is no limit on the amount, but there is a notice time frame and the tenant may decide to no longer rent, as the terms they agreed to would be changing.

This was my concern, however, the tenants are very long term, with only essentially month to month leases & have not had a rental increase for over 2 or 3 years & then only by $25/mth. which pretty much means the property is actually not breaking even w/bills(losing money!). I do intend to give enough notice time & I thank you!
