Tax and legal concerns

In about one year I will become a first time landlord here in Alabama. My intention is to do it all myself. So far I have found plenty of resources for tenant selection and marketing.  I have been unable to find any resources concerning tax issues or legal pitfalls. Are there any good books on these subjects?

there are tons of books out there on both these sujects. I would suggest you google the specific topic you want. Also, you don't want to mess with the tax issues.g et a lawyer.
