I have given my tenant 30 days written notice to vacate. There is not a rental agreement. The tenant is saying that California law state they have 60 days to vacate. Is that true?

That seems like it may be infringing on your privacy especially if there is a sitting area there or outdoor space to be. Cameras should only be installed with the consent of the tenant or if it is over viewing a common area. You may want to consent with a lawyer directly or ask the landlord directly why it has been set up. On the landlords side, is there a reason to be suspicious, are you violating the lease or breaking the law in any way that could hold the landlord responsible?
