Guest becoming a tenant

Where can I find information regarding   A tenant allowing a guest to stay past 14 days in the state of Connecticut? Do they have to sign a lease what is the process ?

I would send an unauthorized occupant notice or I would contact the tenant and ask if they want this person added to the lease and make the necessary changes.
