Roomer Put lot on door and did not give Landlord a Kry

My roommate who rents a room from me(I am home owner) has swapped out his bedroom door knob for a deadbolt. He has not given me a key. What statute says that he has to give me a key? And what are the consequences if he does not? Thanks

Did you put it in the lease?

Modification to door is in the lease. Providing a key for lock is not. Why do you ask?
