Companion animals

My HOA has a 25 lb. weight limit for pets. Does this apply to companion animals?

If it is a Service animal or emotional support animal they aren't pets and must be given reasonable accommodations .  You may have to provide a note from your doctor stating that you have a disability and the animal helps you cope with the disability and/or improve the symptoms.
No, no, no. Emotional support animals are not recognized by the ADA. Only PROFESSIONALLY trained and certified service animals quaily.   Good luck
The other replies should check the laws. No one can ask for papers for a companion or service animal, nor can they deny them into your home. Please check out the Fair Housing Act.
