Tenant not paying rent during covid in california

Hi Can I send the notice of dues for rent to tenant as my tenant is paying rent for APR-2020 and May-2020 may be impacted by covid. I am in California. How long can tenant skip/postpone paying rents in California due to Covid.  Can we ask for documentation if they are affected by COVID like loosing of jobs or closing of their small business. They must be getting help from Government  Any sample letters of requesting to pay rent especially COVID times Any help will be appreciated  Thank you -SM
