California Landlord: If a month-to-month tenant gives you a 30-day notice to vacate in the middle of the current month, with a move out date for the middle of the following month, are you required to prorate the last month's rent?
I do prorate the rent if move in date is after the 1st, but wondering if I'm obligated to do it for move-out?
