I own a condo in the Philadelphia area and plan to rent it in the near future. Is it best to do this as a Sole Proprietor using my SS# or do most people rent under a business entity? I guess I want to start out on the right foot. Any input is appreciated.

There are several schools of thought here. I owned a commercial property and formed a Corp for it as it limits liability. I am not sure how beneficial that would be with a single residential property. But if you are planning on creating a larger portfolio, it may be wise to go in that direction. Love to hear other comments on this question. It is a really good one!
