renting without a lease

i have a problem and hopefully someone can help!!!I didnt renew the tenants' lease last month or this month.They are always late on rent besides this month was on time.They smoke in the house which said in the lease no smoking and also told them before they moved in."Their freinds"" are visiting but i know they are staying here.For the past week or so they've been downstairs everyday and night.What can i do???probably nothing right cause i dont have a lease so basically let them run free???can i give them wriiten warnings???Evict them??what can I do????

As long as they're violating the lease agreement, you can file for eviction.
