Home Warrenty Issues

The Hot Water Heater went out for a tenant and the earliest the Home Warrenty Co could have a tech at the place was 5-6 days. I replaced the Heater out of pocket the next day because the tenant hass been absolutely perfect for the last two years. Do I have any chance of re-cooping the loss without the tech approval in advance?
