Married couple but only one signature

We just received a lease that contained both the husband and wife in the terms of the lease, but only the husband signed and initialed the lease.  Do we need to return it for the wife's signatures as well or are married couples considered a single legal entity?

I would strongly suggest getting BOTH signatures. HINT: I like to personally witness signatures to a lease.....so often someone will just sign for someone else. And then when things go south.....that person claims they didn't sign and you have a big mess. If it is not possible as you are renting "out of state", then have them get their signatures notorized. It gives you better protection.
